Fundraising has been hard in 2009 for our scouts in their efforts to raise funds to get to the Glaciers of Switzerland and the Kandersteg International day and camp this summer, but thanks to the cooperation of Chris Chalkley and the TESCO staff at the Pembury store we were able to pack bags for shoppers raising over £1000! It was a great effort from all the scouts and shows what is possible with determination. The scouts joked with customers and checkout staff as they worked packing bags over the weekend and were great ambassadors for the group and scouting in the area.
