They caught me out again. I am sure this is done on purpose. The weather report promised rain but I didn't believe that and nor did the powers that be. .

We had four teams in the event and they showed that camping skills are alive and kicking in the area. Thanks to all our judges and helpers for the weekend. the points were incredibly close at the end with the decision for winner riding on the litter pick at the end. I loved the choice of food for the weekend and not a slab of spam in sight. Choc orange sponges cooked in oranges - wow. Scrambled egg still yellow what is happening. Duke of Edinburgh particpants nearby commented that they were vbery jealous when they had dry rations for their bronze expedition.

We finished with a surprise climbing session for the scouts which proved fun - the aim of the event.

The results if anyone was interested.

1st Ticehurst mixed team
2nd Rotehrfield mixed team
3rd Uckfield mixed team
4th Ticehurst boys own team

A full report will follow but check out the scouts plus site for a view from the participants
