Cub Hike Around Bewl 24th June

Akela - Aka Rosie

We had a total of 12 cubs, 4 parents, 2 Leaders and a dog called
Herbie, and set off in high spirits to enjoy our walk in the sunshine.
Neil met us halfway for a water break where the highlight of the
conversation was, who stepped in the poo!
Once we reached the waters edge, the cubs were challenged to identify
the trees that they could see all around, and eventually after many
suggestions, mostly of Hydranga, we managed to identify most of the
trees and some flowers.
Poor Herbie was exhausted by the end, as everyone wanted to have a go
at throwing the ball in to the reservoir for him to fetch, But a good
time was had by all.

Next week we will be having a go at putting up patrol tents, Dan is
away at Great Yarmouth, but I have no doubt that once again I will have
more than enough parents to help out. We will also be awarding the
following badges - Nights away, Athelete, Martial Arts and Swimmer 1.
