Steve on his bike at Stonegate fair

An executive committee and group council can aid a scout group in many ways but is essential for supporting the group scout leader and fundraising.

Parents and carers often find that the executive is a way for them to help make the group better for their children. The exec is able to generate social events and fundraisers.

Even if you don't have what you consider relevant skills or talents you may be pleasantly surprised that we are more interested in heads with common sense than high flyers.

Of course you may have some interests or skills that our young people may be interested in too. But just being part of the parent rota or delivering flyers may help us to ensure that 1st Ticehurst scout group provides opportunities for local children for many years to come.

Current officers

We are shortly electing a new executive committee in 2009. Our retiring exec has already stood down. we thank them for their efforts on behalf of the group.
