climbing is fun for all the cubs

The group cub section caters for boys and girls aged between 8 and 11 years old. By the time that boys and girls reach cubs age they think that they know it all. after all they can mostly read, ride a bike, kick a ball and even swim.

They have reserves of energy which is rarely exhausted at school and this is energy is the source of our cubs. Those young people that want more than sitting at home watching tv.

Thanks to our cub leaders Akela and Baloo our cubs get the chance to take part in a great range of activities.

Cubs develops sense of worth, team spirit and pushes the boundaries for many of boys and girls.

Where beavers need their hands held for many activities, at cubs the leash is loosened and limits are pushed. Our cubs take part in camps nd adventures with other sections in the group. Like sleepovers and competitions alongside the beavers or even camping with the scouts.

It has been said that life does not get better than being a cub since you can do almost everything but don't have the constant worry of exams or life choices.
