Beavers from 6 to 8 are full of fun

Beavers at first might seem like a playgroup. After all they are only aged 6 to 8. Come see what they get up to or look at our news or programme in the diary and I think you will agree that our beaver colony is far more than a babysitting service.

The beaver boys and girls really take part in exciting and challenging activities like mountain biking canoeing, climbing, making things, being creative and importantly making new friends and actually playing team games. Play is an important learning tool for the beavers, and they learn through play faster than any other way.

We meet every Monday night at 6:00pm for an hour each week. Our Programme includes games, crafts, making friends and exploring. Events happen and weekends and holidays too.

Indoor and outdoor trips and activities are always planned for beavers. Check the diary page for details of what's going on.

If your child (boy or girl) is aged between 6 and 8 years old then we may be able to offer him or her a place at the Ticehurst Beaver colony.

Places are always at a premium and are limited by strict leader to child ratios. Let us know your interest on the Waiting list page .Click here to Join in or call Tony (see about us)

We arrange trips, play games be creative and have fun!!!

The highlight for many of our beavers is the annual sleepover. In 2007 we joined in the world record breaking attempt for the biggest sleepover. In 2008 we staged our own cowboys and indian event complete with facepaint, warcries and of course lots of games.

Parents get involved too partly by our parent rota. the trouble is that everyone comes to help and never leaves since beavers really is fun to do for all ages.
