Do I have to live in Ticehurst to Join?
We take beavers from the parish area including Flimwell, Stonegate, Ticehurst and Wallcrouch.

Can I just come and see what its like at beavers?
We hope that anyone can have fun at beavers but we always start new people with a three week taster. that's to say you can try coming to beavers for three weeks.

Where do beavers meet?
We meet at the scout hut, Pickforde Lane most Mondays at 6.00pm. Click on the map below for a larger picture

What if I don't like it?
If you don't like it then we can wave goodbye but we hope that this won't be the case since there are always fun things to do and places to go.

Do I get to wear a uniform with cool badges
You get your badges and scarf from us when you are invested. But you don't get to be invested until we are sure that you want to join beavers.

What does uniform cost?
The uniform that you have to buy consists of a beaver jersey and a cap. This should cost no more than £15. There are lots of other bits and pieces that you can buy but they are not essential.

Where do I put my badges on my uniform?

How much does it cost to join beavers?
There is no joining fee for beavers and our termly subs are only £25.00 per term. You have to pay for your uniform and any costs of camps or outings. We are a non-profit charity and so all money that is collected is spent on the scout group.

How safe are my children at beavers?
All leaders for the scout organization are police checked and monitored. We are very aware of modern day child protection issues and have procedures in place specifically for the protection of your children. If you have any concerns simply contact our leaders for more information.

Can parents get involved?
Absolutely, we encourage parents to get involved with every aspect of beavers. If you have any spare time or skills that you may think that the beavers would like to turn into an activity then please let us know.
