Wow factor!

It has all happened and we are safely home in our beds. I can't think of anyone that attended who is not thoroughly exhausted.

A huge thanks goes out to all of those that helped make this a great success. Thanks Andy, Colin, David, Fran, Jeremy, Leo, Paul, Simon, Steve, and Of course Jim

But the greatest thanks must go to David and Nicola Plummer who not only allowed us to use their land but gave us lots of extra treats along the way

Wadhurst and Wandsworth scouts joined in with us in every way during the camp.

A full diary of events etc will shortly appear here with pictures of what really happened on camp. But for now some of the highlights

Movie nights were a great success for children and big kids alike.

Watersports really rocked this week as we took on the turbulent Rother in full flow after storm rain. Some of the explorers and lucky scouts were able to surf Kayak at Camber too. Rafting and Canadian canoeing were handled brilliantly at Rob Newington's farm lake.

Climbing at Bulls Hollow in Tunbridge Wells added a new dimension to our activities with the traversing and climbing turning into scout conkers and rapid transport. Some abseiling was attempted on the highest part of the rocks to really test the scouts and cubs

A football tournament went really well on the activity field with everyone getting involved.

The crate challenge with crates from Harveys brewery proved really popular with crate towers up to 14 crates tall being built.

Wide games proved very noisy affairs

Our assault course reached dizzy heights with a real ravine bridge and super high cargo net climb

We took over the swimming pool at Tenterden and stunned the chip shop with our huge order of fish and chips (luvlerly and fresh)

The campfire with the firework display went with a real bang. The barbeque gave parents a chance to see what really happens on camp.

The explorers from Wandsworth were not only great campers but became our team leaders for the week.

Parents camped with us and visited all week.

Our hike had 27 walkers wandering around the Rother valley in glorious sunshine
